There are many cars that have a large fan base worldwide, but the fan base of the real Porsche will probably be in the top 3. Say "Porsche 911", and probably everyone knew the name and model. The model T stands for "Touring" and signifies that this Porsche is the base model 911. It was introduced for the 1967 model year as the entry-level replacement for the four-cylinder-powered 912. Being a "1972" -spec 911T , the 2.4 liter. at-six, air-cooled engine puts out 140 horsepower at 5,600 rpm, making it the least powerful 911 offered that year. Yet most 911Ts were fasterer than most enthusiasts expected because they were a bit lighter than the more powerful E and S versions.
This European version with the well-known 'ölklappe' is a fully matching number vehicle. Limited quantities have been made of this model, you may already be familiar with it. In the four years that the Porsche has been in the possession of the current owner, it has been completely restored and brought to a concourse condition. The car is therefore in new condition and has been fully returned to the factory condition, down to the smallest details. originality was one of the starting points that will be appreciated by every Porsche fan.
This 911T is provided with a birth certificate (requested from Porsche Classic). The birth certificate confirms the numbers of the tank, engine and body. All options with which the car was delivered are also stated on the certificate. The Porsche was delivered to Raffay, Hamburg in July 1972 and is equipped with a '470 Comfort-Ausstattung' ex-factory, which gives the Porsche a luxurious and sporty appearance.
The Porsche has been completely blasted, then sheet metal work has been done and the Porsche has been blasted again and sprayed in the original color Aubergine Por 025.
The engine has been completely dismantled and overhauled by BMR (Betuwe Engine Overhaul). Just like the engine, the gearbox has been overhauled by a Porsche specialist (BassantParts). All parts are sandblasted and provided with a new powder coat, passive or zinc layer. The cable harness has also been completely renewed and returned to its original state. All rubbers, bushes and bearings have been renewed. The car is equipped with reconditioned brakes, new discs, blocks and shock absorbers. The rims are repainted and polished. All the chrome work is again chromed and anodized. The interior has been completely refurbished and restored to its original state. The Porsche is aligned and equipped with a new MOT. All bills are present. This car will certainly be a unique opportunity to get a proud piece of engine history.
